Ruben began his tenure with JPMorgan Chase Bank (previously known as Texas Commerce Bank) in May 1992 as a Credit Analyst. By June 2004, he transitioned to the Corporate/International Department and attained a role as a Credit Underwriter and Relationship Manager within the Maquiladora arm of the division. In October 2005, Ruben advanced to the Middle Market team to work with small to mid-sized business enterprises and in March 2017, he ascended to the position of Market Executive, entrusted with overseeing the Middle Market Banking sectors in El Paso and New Mexico.
With a robust record of doing business in the U.S. and Mexico, specifically in the financing realm, he is equally proficient in both the credit and sales facets of banking operations. Furthermore, Ruben possesses extensive knowledge of the bank’s treasury services solutions and he holds both Series 63 and Series 79 licenses.
Ruben is proactive in the communities he serves and is a board member of the United Way of El Paso County, the El Paso Symphony Orchestra, and Community En Accion, where he upholds the duties of Treasurer. His prior engagements include serving on the board of Kids Excel El Paso, and he remains actively involved with the University of Texas at El Paso’s Banking Academy Advisory Council.
In 1992, Ruben received his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and, in 2017, was honored as one of the Top 50 Hispanic alumni by UTEP’s Business School.
