Prior to assuming his role at Borderplex Community Capital in September 2023, Hector held the pivotal position of Market Executive for PNC Bank, overseeing the El Paso Texas & Southern New Mexico region. Previously, he served as the Market President for BBVA US within the same geographic area. His career spans over 30 years in international banking, with a prominent focus on global corporate and investment banking. Notably, he has held significant roles with BBVA across various locations including a key role in expanding BBVA’s wholesale banking presence in the United States, while in New York City. Hector’s comprehensive expertise encompasses Corporate & Commercial Banking, Trade Finance, Investment Banking, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Credit, enriched by his tenure with renowned institutions in the US and abroad such as BBVA, Banamex, Credit Lyonnais, and Chase Bank.
