Georgina Hernandez CEO United Way of the El Paso County

Georgina Hernández joined United Way of El Paso County as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in March 2023, and currently President and CEO since February 2024. Georgina Hernández is an experienced business professional who worked at GECU from 2018 – 2023 as Media Director and most recently as the Executive Director for the GECU Foundation. During her tenure, she helped to effectively market the organization as well as increase the charitable impact in the community. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management from the University of Texas at El Paso, Georgina entered the advertising industry exploring her passion for creativity and consumer behavior and worked at CultureSpan Marketing for over 12 years. She served on the board of the Women’s Fund of El Paso for six years and was president for two, in addition has been part of community committees for Paso del Norte Community Foundation and FEMAP.
