Benjamin Arriola has been the President at Southwest University at El Paso since 2016. Ben Arriola graduated with a Bachelors in Industrial Engineering from New Mexico State University in 2003. Since then, he has served on many committees that have paved the way for young leaders and entrepreneurs in El Paso. is a Board Member of the Arriola Foundation, a Board Member of the Texas Career Schools and Colleges, a Board Member of The El Paso Borderplex, and is a Trustee of the Las Palmas/ Del Sol Board of Trustees under HCA Healthcare. Ben, is an entrepreneur guided by the idea that “dedication and hard work can dictate the outcome of your success”. Ben’s outgoing personality has cultivated a unique culture in the university and partnering businesses. His passion for giving back to the community never falters. Under his guidance, Southwest University has contributed the largest donation ever made to El Paso Children’s Hospital, donated an exhibit to the newly built Children Museum, and become a signature partner in the revitalization of downtown El Paso by become the naming right partner of Southwest University Park. Ben’s focus towards leadership and growth has gained him recognition as a community groundbreaker, innovator, and entrepreneur. Benjamin Arriola Jr. has continued to strive by providing our community the opportunity to reach their potential and continues to take part in the growth and betterment of El Paso/Cd. Juarez region.
